- Has your definition of art clanged since from the beginning of this class?
- When I first started this class I considered art to be all about just painting and drawing. But, when we did a mini-lesson on making art out of nature my opinion changed. I realised we I can use things just in my backyard to make sculptures. I can use anything I really want and it can be interpreted into art. Now, when I look at nature I consider ways it could be changed into something artistic. Below, I used leaves and berries from a tree to make a flower.
Choose a place or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist. One that you have a personal connection to. Please explain.
This artwork was part of an art journaling mini lesson. I used the quote "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly." This quote relates to me because sometimes worry that bad situations are never going to get better but they eventually turn out better than I thought.

Which project was your most successful? Describe the theme and or topic and the process you went through to complete the project.
My most successful piece was when took plants from outside, and spray painted over them. I wanted to do something really unique using nature so I though spray paint would be the way to go.I put chalk pastel on white paper, taped the plant on, and then used black spray paint over it. In wasn't sure how it would work out but I think it looked great.

- What did you find most difficult about this class? This could be anything from gathering materials, to generating projects ideas, to applying a particular technique. What could be done to resolve this issue in the future?
- For me,the most difficult thing in this class was making sculptures. I really struggled with pottery and also didn't know how to do Styrofoam art. I think I have trouble visualizing how to make a sculpture so it made it hard for me to put it together. In the future, I would draw whatever i wanted to make to give myself a better idea of the final project. Then, I would take more time to make it look good rather than rushing through it.
Do over: If given the opportunity, which project would you do over? Describe why and how you would redo this project. Reasons might include choosing a different theme, using a different medium or creating a different idea completely. Include photo.
If I could redo a project I would do the furniture drawing from the artist observe unit. I feel like I rushed this project because I wasn't very passionate about it. I would have rather used darker graphite to emphasize dark colors better. I also thought the angle of the bed didn't look very good. This was an early project so if I were to do this today it most likely would look much better.
